What You’ll Be Doing
As a Senior Consultant, Application Development, you will lead the functional design and development of application systems across various technologies and platforms. This role is part of the Enterprise Wires Modernization (EWM) program, a strategic multi-year initiative aimed at implementing a cutting-edge wire payment platform. You will provide expert consultation to senior management on a wide range of existing and emerging infrastructure technologies.
Your responsibilities include translating user requirements into comprehensive process and data specifications, as well as crafting innovative solutions that drive substantial business impact. In this position, you will provide technical leadership to develop precise steps and processing logic across all platforms, ensuring that designed specifications meet business needs. Additionally, you will offer comprehensive senior-level technical consulting to IT senior management and technical teams, making technology selection decisions in situations where business requirements may not be fully defined.

Contribute to technology roadmaps that align with the bank’s vision, strategy, and business objectives. Lead multiple complex technology solutions while maintaining consistency across the platform, adopting best practices, and driving continuous improvements.
Who You Are
Experience building and integrating with external systems using SOAP/REST APIs; knowledge of Single Sign-On is an asset. Familiarity with Dev Ops tools such as Git Hub, Jenkins, Maven, Ansible, and Artifactory is advantageous. Experience with various data storage solutions, including Delta Lake and databases. Proficient in data export/import from different SQL server offerings and ADLS. Conducting performance tuning for Azure SQL MI.
Strong understanding of indexes, partitions, data files, and expertise in SQL query optimization. Design end-to-end technical solutions for tier 1 data store applications with near real-time reporting capabilities. Experience with waterfall methodology; knowledge of Agile and Dev Ops methodologies is a plus. Understanding of large value payments and wires, SWIFT, ISO 20022, LVTS/Lynx is an asset. Experience with incident, problem, and change management.
Degree/diploma in Computer Science or a related field, with at least 5+ years in a development role leading projects and designing solutions.
