We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist for a
-month contract to join a high-performing, collaborative team. This position focuses on optimization and time series forecasting , leveraging diverse datasets such as sales and financial market data to deliver impactful, data-driven solutions.
You will work across the full data science lifecycle—data retrieval, preparation, modeling, optimization, and scenario planning—while collaborating with business stakeholders, ML engineers, and application developers.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement time series forecasting models for rich and "data-heavy" datasetsAnalyze stochastic processes and conduct statistical hypothesis testing to validate and improve models.Design and optimize models for multiple scenarios and business objectives.Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.Write clean, efficient Python and SQL code for data processing, modeling, and analysis.Work with ML engineers to build and maintain machine learning pipelines.Retrieve, clean, and organize data from unstructured environments, applying data engineering principles when required.Contribute to LLM-related projects (nice to have) and collaborate on application development around LLMs.Utilize cloud platforms (GCP preferred; Azure or AWS acceptable) for data storage, processing, and deployment.Must-Have QualificationsMSc or equivalentProven expertise in:Time series modeling (core requirement)Stochastic processesStatistical hypothesis testingOptimization techniquesStrong coding skills in Python and SQL .Experience with at least one major cloud provider ( GCP preferred; Azure or AWS acceptable ).Ability to work with raw, unstructured data and prepare it for modeling.Nice-to-Have SkillsExperience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and application development.Knowledge of ML engineering best practices (pipeline creation, feature engineering).Exposure to sales and financial datasets.Mindlance is an equal opportunity employer.
