Senior Project control officer

Our client, a top banking client in Canada is looking to hire a Senior PCO role for their team with a contract of 12 months which is renewable. This role 1-2 days a week in the office for their Toronto office.
The Senior PCO will support 1-2 Senior Business Project Managers handling Cyber Security-related projects ranging from $8-20 million. Responsibilities include financial tracking, managing estimates, preparing presentations, and collaborating with technology teams.
Key Responsibilities:

Project Coordination: Assist PMs & Scrum master's in project planning, scheduling, and tracking using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

Financial Management: Track and reconcile budgets, analyze variances, and manage project financials.

Reporting & Documentation: Maintain SharePoint records, manage status reports, and prepare executive-level presentations.

Meeting Support: Take minutes, log action items, and ensure timely follow-ups for key meetings.

Must have skills:

5+ years of previous PCO experience (prefers good PCO exp, managing different projects)

Strong experience with managing project financials

General understanding of accounting practices

Experience with Agile and Share Point

MS Excel, MS teams, MS word, Power Point

Nice to have:

Banking experience/large enterprise experience

Any PM certifications

Soft Skills:

Very organized

Able to meet strict timelines

Great communication skills.
