Trackunit is looking for a stellar Engineering Manager to join our growing engineering team.

You will lead one of our platform teams based in London, Ontario, Canada. The team is made up of Site Reliability Engineers and develops and maintains the platform that underpins our large‑scale IoT solutions and customer‑facing applications. They focus on streamlining platform initiatives across multiple product areas and building a scalable foundation for the future, with a strong emphasis on aligning tools and processes.

Responsibilities include platform scalability, core platform tooling such as observability and build systems, and security capabilities – both at the platform level and through tooling that supports developers across the organization. The team plays a key role in major incident handling and information security. The underlying platforms and infrastructure are hosted on AWS, and the team is part of a functional leadership team with shared responsibility for these platforms.

With location in the heart of London, ON, we offer a flexible hybrid setup with the preference of coming to the office on a regular basis. Occasional travel to international sites is expected. No relocation assistance is offered for this position.

• Lead and manage an SRE team working mainly on AWS, Kubernetes and Terraform.
• Inspire, lead, and motivate team members to reach their full potential; energise through impact conversations and regular 1:1s.
• Facilitate the development process: plan roadmaps, day‑to‑day planning and retrospectives for our North American SRE team, coordinating with the global platform agenda.
• Support the operations of our global SRE community together with the leadership team.
• Participate in on‑call rotations, mainly focused on major incident management and security.
• Define and maintain the strategic direction for your team to ensure stability, scalability and security of the Trackunit platform.
• Advocate for “The Trackunit Way,” our approach to leading people and developing products in a fast‑growing SaaS company.

• You manage incidents effectively and keep your head cool even when you do not know the technical details.
• You drive incident resolution with a focus on uptime and TTR metrics impact.
• You are comfortable in a fast‑paced, changing environment where priorities shift and flexibility is key.
• You have experience building secure, scalable infrastructures.
• You think in scalable processes and solutions – the platform features we build are used by 190+ developers, so usability and standardisation are key for effective developer efficiency.
