Job Description for ETL Application Developer

Location:

Canada
Primary Role Function:
Accountable for the design, development, testing and support of applications utilized in Lines of Business strategies.
Additional functions of role but not limited to
Writes high quality and well-documented code according to accepted standards based on user requirements
Participates in project and team meetings interacting and collaborating with team members and other departments as appropriate
Contributes to successful completion of project deliverables
Provides support to team members and application business partners.
Knowledge:
Thorough in depth knowledge of design and analysis methodology and application development processes
Exhibits solid knowledge of databases
Programming experience with extensive business knowledge
University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent industry experience
Solid understanding of SDLC and QA requirements

Skills:

Strong ETL experience and Data Warehouse development
Working

Experience with SQL design coding

Experience with SQL Server, Netezza, PL SQL, MS SQL
Proficient in SSIS, SSAS
strong in SSIS, Java or .NET
Strong with Programming Design Pattern
Strong analytical skills for complex problem solving
Quick learning skills
Possesses solid communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to carry out complex tasks and prioritize when multi tasking
