Job Description
Our client located in Toronto, Ontario, is seeking a Publications Specialist to provide timely and efficient document publication services to all departments, with the prime objective of converting draft text and graphics content into high quality customer deliverables as per company standards. Also, support the administration of technical documents, drawings and software archives: electronic, on-site, and off-site.
Pay rate : $ per hour

RESPONSIBILITIES
:
Format, edit, and publish technical documents as per company format standards, ensuring on-time delivery in accordance with project deadlinesEnsure proper document revision control following Engineering Change Control processesProvide assistance to staff as required on:Desktop publishing toolsDocument creation and update processesCompany archive accessAcquire and maintain updated knowledge of Hitachi tools & applications, such as Livelink, Clear Quest, Shared Palma, SharePoint, Nitro, DOORs/Polarion, Citrix account, Web Cloud, etc.Convert legacy document data in various formats Word Perfect, DOORS) into current company standard formats Word, Visio, PDF, etc.)Verify, validate and maintain all soft copies of current drawingsSupport IT for traceability of Library archives and workflowsUpdate and maintain databases for all released drawings, including off-site ArchivesControl released software issued on physical/magnetic media diskettes, tape, hard drive, CDs, etc.) and programmable devices EPROM, PAL, FPGA etc.)Log and file HW ECNs, verifying attachments are presentProviding copies (hard or soft copy) of archived items as required.Requirements
Skills and Abilities:
Undergraduate degree or post-secondary diploma in a relevant field2 years’ experience with documentation controlExcellent written and verbal EnglishAdvanced computer literacy – Microsoft (Excel, Word, SharePoint, Visio etc.), NitroOn-time completion & delivery of tasks with short and firm deadlinesManage priorities with competing deadlines, across multiple projectsMaintain high quality of work under pressureAbility to work with minimal supervision and co-ordinate with all team membersMeticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance to internal guidelines/directivesStrong administrative skills including organization, problem-solving, time management, and effective communication.Preferred Skills
Experience editing and formatting documents/drawings; technical content preferredFamiliarity with Hitachi GTS Engineering tools, Clear Quest, Shared Palma, DOORSAdvanced level skills in document and file management/control tools, Live Link, SharePoint, JFrog ArtifactoryBilingual proficiency in French and English is a definite assetProficiency in Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin, and Arabic, in addition to English, may be desirable.Candidates with an innovative & growth-oriented mindset, open to continuous learning, especially in the area of new AI technologies and skills, will be given priority for this role.Health, Safety, Environment, Wellbeing
