Azure Cloud Engineer

Apex Systems is a global IT services provider, and our staffing practice has an opening for a Azure & Container Cloud Engineer with strong Azure, Container and Bash/Powershell experience to place at our client, a Big Five Bank.

Terms: 10-month contract

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer with strong expertise in Microsoft Azure and hands‑on experience with container technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in cloud design, infrastructure as code and modern application hosting with the ability to design, deploy and maintain secure, scalable, and cost‑effective solutions in Azure.

• Design, deploy and manage Azure based solutions, ensuring reliability, scalability and security
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Hashicorp CDKTF and ARM templates
• Understanding of Azure landing zones, Azure Policies, RBAC, networking and identity integration
• Strong Bash and Powershell scripting capabilities
• Build and manage containerized workloads using Docker and ACR
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate container builds and deployments
• Optimize container environments for performance, security and cost efficiency
• Implement monitoring, alerting and logging for said containers
• Support patching, upgrades and lifecycle management of container workloads
• Work with security teams to ensure compliance and industry best practices are adhered to

Interview Process: Interviews will take place this in two rounds during the same week this month.
