Opportunity

Business Analysis & Reporting Team is recruiting for Manager, Analytics. In this role, you will work directly with product/client partners within Personal Banking, leveraging data to deliver actionable insights that support information‑based business decisions, drive performance management, and enhance product and customer profitability reporting. You will enable your business clients through provisioning of data assets, analytical reports, and dashboards, and gain a solid understanding of RBC’s products, services and associated client behaviors.

• Perform comprehensive data analysis and communicate insights via data sets, reports and dashboards.
• Maintain or enhance existing reports to showcase insights and support tactics.
• Apply in‑depth data analyses to develop client universe sub‑segmentation and value proposition.
• Analyze large data sets with data dictionaries to understand business context and meet analytics/reporting requirements.
• Consult with business partners to understand goals and the intended client journey.
• Seek opportunities to automate and streamline analytics and reporting steps.
• Participate in strategy meetings to gather and document business requirements and formulate analytical frameworks.
• Develop reports to detect anomalies and perform impact analysis.
• Learn and apply new techniques and ideas in a reasonable period of time.
• Partner on projects with other groups to meet business requirements.
• Transform data usage by developing advanced reporting and analytics for business clients.
• Ensure compliance and privacy guidelines are strictly adhered to.

• Bachelor’s in Mathematics / Statistics, Engineering, or Computer Science;
  Master’s considered an asset.
• Proficiency in Python, Scala, Spark, Hadoop, UNIX/Linux, SQL, SAS, and similar tools for large‑scale data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
• Advanced skills in Tableau, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Excellent research and analytical capabilities; strong data visualization skills.
• Strong consulting mindset and ability to understand stakeholder needs.
• Self‑starter capable of working independently and resolving problems.
• Deadline‑driven, results‑oriented, with the ability to prioritize and meet high quality standards.

• 3+ years in big‑data ecosystem, cloud technologies, Hadoop (Pig, Hive, HDFS), Spark, and No
  
  SQL/SQL databases.
• 4+ years in business analytics and insights.
• Experience in the Financial Services industry.
• Knowledge of deposit and investment products, payments and banking.
• Experience connecting to and querying RBC data platforms such as EDW and Enterprise Data Lake.
