Job Description:Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Agile Consulting Manager / Release Train Engineer to lead Agile transformation initiatives and support enterprise-level program delivery.
This role involves coaching teams, structuring Agile portfolios, and driving continuous improvement across client engagements.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Agile methodologies, SAFe practices, and value stream management, along with strong consulting and leadership capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Agile transformation efforts and maturity assessments tailored to client needs.
- Structure Agile portfolios/programs, establish meeting cadences, and communication channels.
- Serve as an Agile Subject Matter Expert, defining roles and scaling Agile development.
- Coach clients transitioning from waterfall to Agile, promoting adoption of Agile values and practices.
- Facilitate value stream identification, mapping, and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate across Agile teams to resolve impediments and ensure program progress.
- Promote self-directed work teams through empowerment and accountability.
- Develop Agile roadmaps incorporating Dual-track Agile, Dev Ops, Scrum, and Kanban.
- Conduct ROI analysis to align business outcomes with Agile initiatives.
- Engage in strategic planning and client relationship management.
- Collaborate across practices including Product Management, Technical Architecture, and Engineering.
- Maintain and update Burn Up Charts and Agile metrics.
- Empower team members with tools and training to ensure continuity.
- Act as a Career Coach and mentor for team members.
- Lead Agile Guild presentations, marketing outreach, and internal training.
- Manage internal process flows and provide timely updates to senior management.
- Handle executive-level discussions and set client expectations.
- 5+ years of consulting experience in Agile environments.
- 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master.
- 2+ years of experience coaching teams using Scrum and Kanban frameworks.
- SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) certification.
- Proven success leading large-scale projects (budget $500K+).
- Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
- Experience in training and coaching Agile teams.
- Familiarity with Dev Sec Ops , secure SDLC, and Agile compliance practices.
- Experience in customer-facing roles and strategic consulting.
- Knowledge of globally accepted security standards and networking technologies.
- Required:
SAFe RTE – Scaled Agile Framework Release Train Engineer - Recommended:
- PSM III – Professional Scrum Master III
- PMI DAVSC – Disciplined Agile Value Stream Consultant
