Position: Human Resources Business Partner, 12-month contract
Human Resources Business Partner, 12-Month Contract
Join People Corporation as a Human Resources Business Partner. In this 12‑month contract role you will partner with business leaders and employees to provide HR guidance that drives business performance and a positive employee experience.

Responsibilities

Provide guidance and interpretation of People Corporation’s People & Employee Experience policies, procedures, and programs to support leaders and employees across the country.

Advise leaders by recommending solutions to support decision‑making on the employee life cycle, leadership development, success planning, and change management practices.

Proactively support leaders on performance management, employee relations, investigations, and terminations in accordance with legislation and internal policies.

Act as a subject‑matter expert on HR processes, policy interpretation, and leadership and employee coaching.

Use data and analytics to inform decisions, identify patterns, and influence leadership decisions.

Support and manage employee accommodations and disability management cases, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and alignment with organizational policies.

Partner with leaders on workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational design.

Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of provincial employment laws and regulations, ensuring consistent application across all client groups.

Foster a positive employee experience by maintaining open, timely, and effective communication with team members.

Participate in cross‑functional HR projects, such as HRIS implementation or policy revamps, and support organizational change initiatives.

Requirements

Proactive self‑starter with strong initiative and a goal‑oriented mindset.

Ability to develop practical HR solutions from ambiguous or evolving requirements.

Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to influence decisions through strong relationship building, credibility, and trust.

Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast‑paced, rapidly evolving dynamic environment.

Collaboration skills to work cross‑functionally with Corporate HR, Finance, Legal and Operations.

High degree of professionalism, discretion, and judgment.

Knowledge of Workday or experience using Workday HRIS is considered an asset.

Preferred Qualifications

3‑5 years of progressive experience as an HR Business Partner, preferably in a high‑growth or rapidly evolving environment.

Post‑secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

CHRP designation in progress or completed is considered an asset.

Ability to work in a hybrid role.

Bilingual in French and English is considered a strong asset.

Travel to other offices in the GTA required (e.g., Burlington, Cambridge, North York & Kingston).
