We are searching for a passionate, forward thinking Executive Chef to join our Leadership Committee and guide our culinary vision across all Hyatt Food & Beverage experiences. This role is for a creator, a coach, an innovator—and a leader who inspires others to deliver genuine hospitality through every plate.
As a key member of the hotel’s Executive Committee, you will champion Hyatt’s Purpose, embody our Values, and cultivate an environment where colleagues feel supported, respected, and empowered to learn and grow.
Your Impact Operational & Culinary Excellence- Lead day to day culinary operations across multiple outlets and banquets, ensuring consistency, creativity, and world class quality.
- Uphold Hyatt’s Brand Standards, Purpose, and Food & Beverage Top 20, bringing our brand promise to life through every guest experience.
- Develop innovative, seasonally inspired menus that reflect Toronto’s diverse culinary landscape while strengthening the hotel’s signature culinary identity.
- Partner with Stewarding and Materials Management teams to ensure exceptional hygiene, product quality, and equipment care.
- Inspire your team to create authentic, memorable experiences that reflect Hyatt’s commitment to truly caring for guests.
- Engage directly with guests and colleagues, responding with empathy, professionalism, and a genuine desire to resolve concerns.
- Maintain an active presence during service, providing real‑time coaching to ensure seamless, intuitive hospitality.
- Be involved/Support with Sales and Marketing efforts
- Provide clear direction, coaching, and mentorship to to all culinary colleagues.
- Foster a culture grounded in Hyatt’s People Philosophy—where individuals feel valued, respected, and encouraged to grow.
- Recruit talent using a competency based, inclusive approach aligned with Hyatt’s Values.
- Support ongoing performance development conversations, training, and learning opportunities.
- Champion a collaborative partnership with Human Resources to support succession planning and colleague engagement initiatives.
- Drive operational success through CBA compliant scheduling, multi skilling, and effective productivity strategies.
- Support preparation of the annual business plan and culinary budgets.
- Conduct meaningful forecasting and performance analysis to ensure profitability without compromising Hyatt’s brand promise.
- Oversee cost control measures, inventory systems, and financial compliance.
- Ensure strategic vendor relationships and procurement practices that support quality, sustainability, and cost efficiency.
- Contribute to the creation and execution of the annual Food & Beverage Marketing Plan.
- Keep our culinary offering relevant and inspiring by monitoring local and global dining trends.
- Identify partnerships, promotions, and public facing opportunities that strengthen Hyatt’s presence in the community.
- Collaborate with Sales & Events to elevate banquet offerings and support revenue‑driving initiatives.
- A proven track record in senior culinary leadership within a high volume, multi outlet luxury or premium environment.
- A passion for hospitality and an unwavering commitment to quality.
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to inspire, motivate, and mentor diverse teams.
- Creative thinking supported by strategic and analytical decision making.
- A collaborative spirit rooted in care, curiosity, and service excellence.
- Experience working in an urban, business‑centric hotel environment is an asset.
