Join our teamFour Seasons Hotel Toronto is looking for a Banquet Sous Chef who shares our passion for cooking for events and is willing to learn from and contribute to our culinary team. This position reports to the Banquet Chef.
AboutThe Role
The Banquet Sous Chef will support the Banquet Chef in the day-to-day operation of the Banquet and Hotel Kitchen, including training, quality controls inspection, food safety assurance and supervising all kitchen personnel to ensure the highest standards of food quality.
What You Will DoWe are looking for individuals who have a solid knowledge of food, are passionate to develop their management skills within the hotel industry, have creativity and flair, and the ability to provide guidance to others. A strong work ethic and good business acumen are required. The ideal candidate will have an outgoing personality and a can-do approach to any task.

A strong work ethic and good business acumen are required. The ideal candidate will have an outgoing personality and a can-do approach to any task. Applicants are required to have four to six years of operational kitchen experience with a diversity of culinary experience.
Supervisory and management experience is required.
- Excellent knowledge of and passion for local, organic, sustainable ingredients
- 4-6 years of experience working in a kitchen management role in a fast-paced and luxury environment
- Previous experience working with banquet operations is an asset
- Supervisory and management experience is required
- Skill at identifying and cultivating talent and passion within the team
- Strong communication skills in English, additional languages are an asset
- Strong computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Food Handler’s Certification

The salary range for this position is between $76,000 - $81,000 per year.
