• Salary: $50.00 to $60.00 per hour (To be negotiated), 16 to 20 hours per week

• Explain procedures
• Operate computerized tomography (CT) scanners
• Position patients
• Wear radiation detection equipment to acquire data for use by nuclear medicine physicians in diagnosis
• Record and process results of procedures
• Apply radiation protection measures
• Explain procedures and side effects of radiation
• Perform basic verification and quality control checks on radiographic and film processing equipment
• Record and process patient data
• Provide appropriate care and monitoring of the patient during the examination

• Education:
  
  College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
• Experience:
  
  1 to less than 7 months
• Certifications, licences, memberships, and courses:
  • Certification of the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists
  • Healing arts radiation protection (HARP) Certification
  • Certification by a provincial or territorial association
• Work setting:
  Private clinic
