Terms: Full-time contract (12 months)

Salary (CAD): $81,700 - $96,100 (Commensurate with experience)

This salary range reflects the expected starting salary based on qualifications and experience. This is not the full salary range for the position. Opportunities for growth within the full salary range are available in alignment with organizational policies and individual / organizational performance. The offer package provided to the successful candidate will be based on experience, qualifications and other relevant factors.

About The Role:

As a Staff Technologist, you will be working within a dynamic team and will be responsible to plan, coordinate and conduct assessment activities for medical laboratory accreditation as part of our ISO 15189 Plus Program.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Coordination of and participation in accreditation assessments.
  • Review and analysis of submitted self-assessments and corrective actions.
  • Review and revise accreditation requirements.
  • Monitor the quality of accreditation processes and procedures and initiate process improvements.
  • Attend regular staff meetings and meetings with stakeholders, client personnel, and advisors/consultants.
  • Minimum 30% travel required (national and international) to support accreditation activities.
  • Support market development and generate new business opportunities.

Must Have

Qualifications:

  • Designation as a Medical Laboratory Technologist.
  • Fluent in French and English (verbal and written).
  • 4+ years of relevant professional experience and knowledge in Laboratory Medicine.
  • Membership in good standing with a recognized professional college (e.g., CMLTO).
  • Have a minimum of bachelor’s degree and/or health care diploma in a healthcare related field.
  • Technology savvy with excellent computer skills.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.

In Your First 30-90 Days:

  • Complete our orientation program with other new hires to learn about HSO, our values of trust, inclusion, collaboration, innovation and learning, and our mission of quality improvement in healthcare and social services.
  • Complete training to familiarize you with Accreditation Canada Diagnostics’ processes and procedures
  • Shadow assessment visits to integrate the training
  • Set your performance and learning objectives for the year in collaboration with your people manager.
  • Meet regularly with your people manager to discuss your learning progression and alignment for your accountabilities.
  • Take on assigned initiatives or projects for your role.
