Your ResponsibilitiesAs a Medical Office Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth clinical operations, supporting both patient care and administrative needs. You will:
- Respond to phone and email inquiries from patients and families with professionalism and compassion
- Maintain and update electronic health records (EHR) accurately and securely
- Book follow-up appointments and manage clinician calendars
- Process inbound tasks and faxes, ensure timely filing and routing of medical documents
- Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information
- Perform general administrative duties including records management and coordination of care documentation
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting strongly preferred
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency with EHR platforms (e.g., Accuro, Oscar, or similar) and comfort with digital tools
- Understanding of medical terminology and clinical workflows
- Team player mindset with a strong sense of accountability and confidentiality
