The Credentialing Assistant supports the facility's compliance and credentialing processes specifically for contracted providers
, including physicians, nurse practitioners, therapists, and specialized service vendors. This role ensures all contracted partners meet federal, state, and facility requirements before providing services onsite.
Key Qualifications
Must have, at a minimum, a high school diploma. College and/or secretarial training programs are desirable.Must have three (3) years of clerical/secretarial experience.Must be highly organized with the ability to accurately manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Previous medical records experience is highly preferred.Responsibilities
Provide administrative assistance to the Administrator in a variety of daily, weekly, and monthly tasks as assigned.Maintain credentialing files for all contracted providers, including licenses, certifications, background checks, insurance documentation, and service agreements.Perform primary source verification and ensure compliance with federal, state, and long-term care regulatory standards.Track and monitor credential expiration dates; notify providers and contractors of required updates and collect renewal documentation.Coordinate with contracted agencies, medical groups, and individual providers to obtain required credentialing materials.Prepare and maintain organized credentialing packets for new contracted providers and ensure all required documents are received before service delivery begins.Assist with audit preparation, survey readiness, and reporting related to contracted provider compliance.Maintain secure and accurate digital and physical credentialing records in accordance with facility policies, HIPAA, and confidentiality standards.Position Requirements Shift Days
