Currently, the organization is seeking a Child and Family Clinician to join their Counselling Services team. In this role, you will provide individual, family, and group therapy to youth aged 12–24 and their families, helping them navigate mental health, emotional, and behavioural challenges. You will build trusting, therapeutic relationships that create a safe and supportive space for healing, exemplifying this through an equity, anti-racist, and inclusive lens.

You will deliver impactful, client-centred care, drawing on attachment-based, trauma-informed, and healing-centred approaches.

This is an on-site position.

You will:

  • Lead comprehensive assessments. You will complete psychosocial and intergenerational assessments to inform treatment planning and safety strategies. You will maintain timely and accurate clinical notes, reports, and incident documentation.
  • Design treatment plans. You will collaborate with youth and families to establish therapeutic goals and recommendations.
  • Deliver transformative therapy. You will provide individual, group, and family therapy using evidence-informed, trauma-focused approaches. You will lead safety planning and manage crisis situations.
  • Collaborate and champion inclusion. You will partner with clinical teams, schools, and community stakeholders to design and deliver impactful programs that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Grow and evolve professionally. You will expand your expertise through group supervision, training, and case consultations to support professional growth.

You bring:

  • The education and registration. You hold a Master’s degree in a therapy or psychotherapy-related field. You are registered with a regulated health college that permits the delivery of psychotherapy. Membership with CAMFT or OAMFT is an asset.
  • The clinical expertise. You have a minimum of 2 years of post-Master’s experience providing trauma-informed psychotherapy to youth and families, including crisis management, safety planning and facilitation of psych-educational and group therapy. You have practical experience in assessment, systemic formulation, treatment planning, individual psychotherapy, family therapy, and group therapy. You have an in-depth understanding of the impact of trauma, oppression, and structural inequities on youth and families.

    You can handle crisis situations, and you prioritize self-care.
  • The cultural competence. You have a proven dedication to providing anti-racist, culturally responsive care to diverse populations, including 2

    SLGBTQIA+ youth and BIPOC communities. You consistently adhere to high ethical standards, demonstrate emotional intelligence, and take accountability in all interactions.
