Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate psychologist to join our dedicated team. This position offers a unique opportunity for an individual who is enthusiastic about working in paediatrics, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and has a strong desire for professional growth and skill development. The psychologist will assess, diagnose, and treat learning, behavioural, and socioemotional challenges within the context of the child’s developmental history and family functioning.

Job Summary:
  • Provides an evidence-based approach to comprehensive assessment exploring a wide range of learning, attention and/or mental health needs (i.e., psycho educational, developmental, neuropsychological and/or mental health assessments).
  • Provides assessment feedback and psychoeducation to families.
  • Provides evidence-based therapeutic interventions for behavioural and mental health challenges experienced by children and their families (e.g., anxiety, emotion regulation, attention issues, caregiver support).
  • Engages with children, adolescents, and caregivers individually and/or in group formats.
  • Communicates effectively and maintains relationships with the multidisciplinary team and healthcare providers both internally and outside of the clinic to ensure collaborative care.
  • Manages a varied caseload and meets required timelines.
  • Maintains complete and accurate medical records using the Electronic Medical Record system.
  • Participates in on-going and emerging clinical projects as required.
  • Proficient in using virtual technology for telehealth sessions.
  • Part-time and full-time positions available. Opportunity to work on weekends if interested.
Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. or Psy.

    D. in Clinical Psychology, with competencies in assessment and treatment of children, adolescents and families.
  • Registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario.
  • Candidates in supervised practice are also encouraged to apply.
Experience/Skills:
  • Strong proficiency in psychological assessment and evidence-based interventions with children, adolescents, caregivers, and families.
  • Experience with mental health, behavioural and/or developmental concerns.
  • Comfort working with a diverse pediatric population.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with members of a multidisciplinary team.
