Fire Prevention and Emergency Preparedness Advisor

Would you like to play a key role in fire prevention and emergency preparedness while enjoying a high level of autonomy in a dynamic work environment?

Garda World is currently seeking a fire prevention and emergency preparedness Advisor to join its team based in the Greater Montreal area.

Reporting to the emergency preparedness manager, you will play a key role in delivering fire prevention and emergency preparedness mandates for an established client base. You will conduct on‑site assessments and develop plans and procedures, while supporting clients in the implementation of best practices, within a collaborative, autonomous, and service‑driven environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop fire safety plans and emergency preparedness plans;
  • Conduct technical surveys and compliance inspections at client sites;
  • Deliver training in fire prevention and emergency preparedness;
  • Support clients during evacuation drills, simulations, and tabletop exercises;
  • Collaborate with municipal fire departments and various partners;
  • Travel to various regions across Quebec to deliver services;
  • Represent the company at conferences or networking events, as required;
  • Perform any other related duties related to the role.

Your Profile
  • Hold the title of Fire Prevention Technician (FPT); TAPI certification is an asset;
  • 4 to 5 years of experience in fire prevention and/or emergency preparedness;
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle;
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office;
  • Experience in the industrial sector or healthcare sector is an asset;
  • Excellent command of French, both written and spoken;
    English is an asset;
  • Strong customer service orientation and excellent communication skills;
  • Ability to work independently with rigor in a multi-priority environment. INTQC
