What is the opportunity?
The Longevity Specialist serves as the first point of contact for advisors seeking longevity related guidance. The role ensures seamless, compliant navigation across the 4 pillars of wellness—physical, cognitive, social and financial. Acting as an information and co‑ordination hub, the Specialist enhances advisor productivity, improves client experience, and enables early identification of ageing related risks and opportunities. This role ensures that every client/advisor receives the right support, at the right time through a structured and seamless process.
Responsibilities- Leads structured intake conversations using an approved longevity needs assessment.
- Identifies advisor/client needs related to independence, mobility, caregiver stress, cognitive changes, home safety, social connection, and lifestyle transitions.
- Evaluates urgency, risk level and appropriate support path for resources and/or services.
- Determines where the client enquiry falls – contextual support or external partner support (or other).
- Ensures no medical, diagnostic, or clinical advice is provided.
- Directs the advisor to the appropriate next step and ensures timely calls and meetings are scheduled as required.
- Provides advisors with a concise summary to support efficient follow‑up and proactive planning conversations.
- Ensures all actions remain strictly educational, navigational, and non‑clinical.
- Identifies trending client needs to inform advisor education and product strategy.
- Reports key themes to leadership to strengthen the firm’s longevity offering (new opportunities, partnerships, and services).
- Curates and maintains a national longevity resource network at a national and regional level, identifying resources/support and gaps/opportunities.
- Acts as a warm, supportive first touchpoint, normalising ageing related questions and strengthening trust with the advisor team and client.
- Tracks next steps, follow‑up timelines and hand‑off quality to ensure clients don’t fall through gaps.
- University degree in a related health care field (Kinesiology, Social Service Work, OT Aid, Physiotherapy, Nursing) with familiarity with ageing issues, cognitive health and elder care systems.
- High comfort collaborating with advisors, clients and families.
- Exceptional listening/interviewing skills and ability to facilitate sensitive conversations and translate complex client narratives into clear assessments.
- High empathy and emotional intelligence.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high degree of competence and attention to detail.
