Our client is a rapidly growing, established, and reputable electronic voting technology company. They are looking for a Controller to join their team!

- Serve as key member of the Finance Leadership Team in developing and implementing robust accounting practices.
- Lead month‑end closing processes and ensure the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements.
- Lead the external audit process, including liaising with our external auditors to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Supervise the preparation of timely and accurate financial reports, including analysis of performance, variance, and cash flow.
- Build and enhance financial processes to eliminate error, improve cycle/reporting times and maximize efficiency and control.
- Ensure a strong controls environment and fiscal integrity of the company’s business through the enhancement and management of accounting systems and controls. Execute timely compliance reporting, including tax filings, lender reporting, board reporting and audited financial statement issuance.
- Oversee the regulatory tax compliance and optimization of US and Canadian tax outcomes; coordinate the preparation of tax filings with 3rd‑party advisors.
- Build and manage a high‑functioning team that aligns people, process and technology with the Company’s business strategy.
- A record of academic achievement, to include a Bachelor’s Degree in finance or accounting
- CPA or CA
- A ‘hands on’ leader with a solid understanding of financial and operations processes/workflows
- Experience with in an entrepreneurial environment is valuable
- Excellent excel and systems skills, knowledge of Great Plains / Microsoft Dynamics an asset
- Ability to draw on experience to effectively leverage technology to drive improvements
- Highly detail‑oriented, specifically with numbers, schedules, deadlines, etc.
- Ability to analyze data and make determinations from it for problem resolution.
- Ability to establish and maintain professional business relationships with employees, customers and vendors.
$120,000 - $140,000 / year
