What is the opportunity?We have an exciting opportunity for a Wealth Administrator to join the Wealth Management team in our London office on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will play an integral role in the day-to-day ongoing administration of client’s accounts. This is a busy and varied role and no two days will be the same. You will be providing the best possible service to our colleagues and clients as part of a cohort of likeminded individuals, who strive to achieve great results while constantly learning and adapting to improving systems and working practises.

You will be a team player who enjoys multi-tasking and using own initiative to problem-solve, adapts well to change and who thrives in a busy environment, working to tight deadlines.

RBC’s expectation is that all employees and contractors will work in the office with some flexibility to work up to 1 day per week remotely.
What will you do?
  • Communicate with Wealth Managers and their Associates, providing support with administration duties.

  • Communicating (both in writing and verbally) with clients and third parties, such as solicitors, accountants, SIPP and Offshore bond providers and IFAs

  • Arranging mail merges (both via post and email)

  • Booking Client Advice Review Calls and Meetings, sending out and processing Client Risk Questionnaires

  • Preparing and processing Client Advice Proposals and Client Advice Reviews in line with team process via Microsoft Teams, liaising internally with Business Standards Department to amend reviews where remediation required

  • Preparation and processing of all new direct and agent client documentation for individuals, trusts and corporate accounts to include account opening / closing, W8 Bens/W8-IMYs/Withholding Statements, Fee amendments, generating reports, tracking transfers in/out/internal via internal custody and settlement system (Avaloq), processing domestic and international payments, following the internal bereavement process, arranging ISA Subscriptions and ISA APS transfers, completing Large Receipt Forms, adding connections and bank details in Client Relationship Management system, recording and escalating operating events in line with company process, restructuring accounts to link/delink in internal systems

  • Develop broad internal network and liaise with colleagues within Business Support regarding administration of client accounts.

  • Ensure client details and reviews are recorded correctly on systems.

  • Overseeing and monitoring of transfers of assets/cash from other institutions via internal custody and settlement system and transfer dashboard

  • Maintaining accurate client records on Client Relationship Management system and team databases, resolving Change Logs, recording new business opportunities

  • General record keeping and electronic filing.

  • Collaborating across London and regional offices to learn from other teams and share best practice

  • Able to take responsibility for remediation projects and guide team to achieve timely completion

  • Adhering to Conduct Risk standards.

  • What do you need to succeed?
    Must-have
  • Intermediate knowledge of Office 365 Suite and Outlook essential

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Proactive individual, with a solution-focus

  • A proven track record of wide-ranging administrative experience in a Client Facing Team, within the private client wealth management sector is essential.

  • A proven track record of excellent client service is essential.

  • Experience of speaking to clients and third parties and resolving basic day-to-day queries is essential.

  • Proven track record of building a clear understanding of all business areas and maintaining an effective network of strong working relationships with colleagues across the business is essential.

  • Nice-to-have
  • Awareness of MiFID II legislative framework

  • Experience of writing Client Advice Reviews and Client Advice Proposals is preferred.

  • Experience of using Client Engage, Avaloq, Eximius and Power BI would be an advantage.

  • Skills
