We are seeking a new Senior Financial Analyst to join Brookfield Properties’ Global Financial Operations & Reporting team in Toronto, ON. This is a role for an accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced, data-rich, and tech-forward environment. ** Role & Responsibilities:
*** Prepare, review and issue chargeback bills to internal stakeholders via Dynamics 365 project invoice proposal module and disburse bills via our custom-built billing tool
* Maintain billing contacts and act as the primary point of contact for Fund Operations and Investment teams to coordinate on billing settlements
* Review and post journal entries related to adjustments and corrections, ensuring all entries are supported by appropriate documentation
* Reconcile incoming payments and accurately apply cash receipts against outstanding invoices, investigating and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner to ensure accurate accounts receivable balances
* Support monthly and quarterly close processes by ensuring all billing transactions, reconciliations, and journal entries are completed accurately and on schedule, in accordance with close timelines and reporting
* Perform detailed analysis and reporting on liquidity forecasts, including accounts receivable and accounts payable trends, to support cash flow planning and management decision-making
* Monitor aged receivables, track outstanding balances, and follow up on open billings to improve cash collection and support timely cost recovery
* Collaborate with the Technology Service team to identify and resolve system issues, support new system implementations and enhancements, participate in user acceptance testing, and contribute to process transformation initiatives aimed at improving efficiency
* Develop, document, and deliver training materials, job aids, and communications to support the adoption of new systems, tools, and processes, while promoting standardization and best practices across teams
