Key responsibilities- Demonstrate an advanced understanding of indirect tax concepts and effectively apply this knowledge to client situations.
- Carry out tax technical research, draft memos, letters of opinion, and various reports as part of a client’s detailed indirect tax review.
- Develop and deliver timely services and work products that meet or exceed client expectations.
- Prepare practical and creative solutions applicable to the client’s tax situation and arrive at appropriate conclusions.
- Independently manage multiple engagements.
- Identify future opportunities for indirect tax engagements.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with a proven ability to consistently meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
- A high level of drive and motivation along with a commitment to learning in a tax technology environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
- A bachelor’s degree, preferably with an emphasis on accounting, finance or law.
- 3 or more years of relevant, progressive Canadian tax experience.
- Enrollment in or completion of one of the following qualifications is an asset: CPA In‑Depth Tax Course, CPA In‑Depth GST HST Program, MTax.
