Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35‑hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.

About

The Role

We’re looking for a Senior Analyst*, Actuarial, to join our growing team! A candidate with more experience could be considered as a consultant actuarial ($113 220 - $138 380).

What You’ll Do Here
  • Lead analyses that explain trends in claims frequency and severity for all lines of business
  • Creatively quantify impact and diligently prepare our claims teams for industry events (e.g. various reforms, tariff, etc.)
  • Support claims operations and supply chain on the deployment of strategic initiatives through cost‑benefit‑analysis and KPI monitoring
  • Communicate data‑driven insights, leveraging GenAI, and make actionable recommendations to claims operations, actuarial, finance and management (e.g. fraud propensity, catastrophe estimate)
  • Drive change by improving work processes, data visualization and data pipeline
  • Help guide and prioritize the team’s work and coach effectively to strengthen both individual and group success
What You Bring To The Table
  • University Degree or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
  • Certifications in Mathematics, Actuarial, ACAS preferred.
  • 3 years or more of actuarial experience (preferably in the P&C Insurance sector or data analytics team).
  • Working knowledge with SAS, Excel, Python, Power BI.
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms preferred (e.g. Databricks, Snowflake)
  • Desirable competencies: adaptability, innovative, analytical, decision making, critical thinking, stellar communication, planning and organizing, team oriented.
  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English‑speaking colleagues across the country.
  • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
