Downtown Toronto, ON - 4 days per week in-office

Compensation - $150,000-$160,000 (annualized), standard benefits and vacation

We are seeking a hands‑on, technically strong accounting professional for a critical engagement. The primary mandate is to own the integrity of their financial reporting, controls, and investor/lender reporting. This is a hands‑on Director / Controller‑level role reporting directly to the CFO, with real exposure across development entities, funds, valuations, financings, and tax.

This position will offer high‑level exposure to capital markets, debt management, financial accounting and planning, and operational restructuring. But, the team is very small, so you should expect to be very hands‑on.

• Full oversight of month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close
• Consolidated financial reporting under ASPE & IFRS
• Investor, lender, and bank reporting (including equity rolls & variances)
• Cash flow forecasting, capital calls, loan drawdowns & distributions
• Supporting financings and working closely with external auditors
• Tax compliance (T2s, T5013s, HST, SLFI, CRA inquiries)
• Leading analysts, strengthening controls, and improving finance processes

• 5–7+ years of experience in real estate development or funds
• Strong technical accounting and reporting background
• Comfortable operating at both strategic and detailed levels
• Collaborative, pragmatic, and able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment
