Toronto, ON | Onsite (5 days/week)

A global real estate investment firm is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join its Corporate Finance team. This role is ideal for a Big 4–trained CPA looking to transition into industry while continuing to work on complex reporting, consolidations, and audit-driven processes within a sophisticated real estate platform.

You’ll support financial reporting and investment activity across a growing North American portfolio, work closely with external auditors, and play a hands‑on role in improving controls, intercompany processes, and reporting quality. The role also includes oversight of an offshore accounting team.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and challenge monthly financial reporting packages received from operators
• Lead investment onboarding and offboarding, including closing documentation, fund flows, and structure assessments
• Drive consistency and rigor across intercompany confirmations, reconciliations, and eliminations
• Prepare IFRS-based reporting packages, lender deliverables, and audit support schedules
• Lead SOX testing and serve as a key point of contact for external auditors during quarterly and annual audits
• Support consolidation and analysis of budgets, forecasts, and multi‑statement business plans
• Partner with portfolio and capital markets teams on liquidity planning, capital requirements, and financing initiatives
• Provide guidance, review, and development support to an offshore accounting team

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of progressive experience, including Big 4 audit experience (strongly preferred)
• Strong technical foundation in IFRS, consolidations, and financial reporting
• Exposure to real estate, fund accounting, or complex multi‑entity structures is a strong asset
• Clear communicator with the ability to work cross‑functionally with senior stakeholders
