Compensation:

The salary range for this role is CAD 132,750 – 162,250 per year.

About the Position:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Pricing Actuary to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in leading quotation opportunities, research and development, and building relationships with clients to support our life reinsurance business in Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage reinsurance quote opportunities in accordance with internal guidelines and client deadlines.
• Recommend key pricing assumptions for quote opportunities.
• Assist with research and development for key pricing assumptions.
• Manage the building of AXIS pricing models for life reinsurance quotes.
• Peer review AXIS models and results.
• Assist with documentation of pricing materials to support quote approvals and internal peer review.
• Attend client meetings as needed.
• Proficiency in Moody’s AXIS and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
• Knowledge of R programming language an asset.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Collaborative mindset with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.

Work Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in the (re‑)insurance industry.
• Knowledge of life pricing or product development.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science or related discipline.

Professional Qualifications or Designations:

• Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (FCIA) or equivalent designation.
