Emergitel is supporting a leading organization in hiring a Senior Financial Analyst for a 3 month contract engagement. This role will focus heavily on reconciliations, month-end activities, and financial analysis within a structured corporate environment.

This is a hands‑on role suited for someone detail-oriented, analytical, and confident communicating financial impacts to both internal stakeholders and external vendors.

• Perform various account reconciliations (AR, AP, intercompany, and bank reconciliations preferred)
• Lead and support month-end close activities
• Prepare and post journal entries with clear supporting documentation
• Develop and maintain working papers to support financial reporting
• Translate business transactions into accurate journal entries and clearly explain financial impact in summary format
• Communicate with external vendors and service providers regarding financial matters
• Conduct actuals-to-budget and actuals-to-prior month variance analysis (nice to have)
• Support ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required

• 5+ years of progressive accounting or financial analysis experience
• Strong reconciliation experience (financial services experience preferred; transferable reconciliation experience considered)
• Solid month-end close experience including journal entries and working papers
• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, SUMIF, Pivot Tables required)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to confidently ask clarifying questions and proactively resolve issues
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate business activity into financial impact

• Experience with SAP ECC
• Experience with variance analysis (actual vs. budget / actual vs. prior month)
• Telecom industry exposure

• Detail-oriented but able to communicate at a summary level
• Comfortable working independently in a hybrid environment
• Strong problem-solver who is not hesitant to seek clarification
• Able to hit the ground running in a short-term contract role
