Our Clearing Operations team is the backbone that makes every trade possible for Wealthsimple clients. When clients buy and sell stocks, ETFs and precious metals through our app, we handle all the behind-the-scenes magic — managing position and cash movements, ensuring smooth settlement with our executing brokers, and resolving any trade disputes that arise. We support both self-directed and managed investment accounts, making sure every transaction is processed seamlessly.

We’re expanding beyond equity, derivative and precious metal products to include mutual funds. If you love the operational precision that powers great client experiences in investing, this is your team!

• Join the Operations team; work directly with motivated Operations Associates and take ownership of Start-to-finish processing of Mutual Fund Settlements and Reconciliation.
• Assist with projects related to improving existing processes or shipping new products.
• Get familiar with Canadian and US depositories CDS/DTCC and equity trade and Precious Metals settlement process.
• Contribute to identifying and mitigating any inherent operational risks as they relate to the overall team.
• Assist the broader team with any ad-hoc tasks, as required.

• Minimum 3-4 years related experience in a Brokerage environment handling mutual funds.
• Are organized with a strong attention to detail and be comfortable working on multiple priorities with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Have awesome people skills and a positive attitude. You will be working in a highly collaborative environment.
• Are naturally curious: if something seems off, you want to figure out what’s going on.
• Are passionate about technology, specifically fintech.

🤑 Base salary range:
For this role, candidates located in Canada can expect a base salary range of CAD $69,600 - $87,000. Actual compensation is determined based on skills, experience, and role level. Exceptional candidates may be considered above the top of the range, and pay can increase quickly for those who make a big impact in the role.

🚀 Total compensation:
In addition to base salary, this role includes equity compensation. We use clear job levels and market-based salary bands to ensure compensation is fair and consistent across the company.
