Overview
We have an exciting opportunity in the Group Savings and Retirement sector: iA Financial Group is seeking a Senior Investment Strategist to meet the needs of its Group Savings and Retirement clientele.

You will be responsible for representing iA Financial Group to clients and consulting firms, and for advancing the investment offering within the sector.
Responsibilities- Collaborating with pension plan sponsors and their consultants or advisors to identify needs and priorities, define investment objectives, and develop effective strategies to achieve those objectives;
- Reviewing market trends and analyzing client account performance for pension committees, while providing recommendations to enhance the investment fund offering;
- Maintaining a deep understanding of the market, investment processes, strategies, and portfolio manager attribution;
- Working with consulting firms to structure liability-driven investment strategies (“de-risking”) and trigger-based strategies tied to metrics such as plan solvency, interest rates, and exchange rates;
- Actively participating in business development efforts, including finalist presentations aimed at securing new mandates;
- Acting as an investment expert for account managers, client relationship managers, and financial education specialists to elevate investment expertise across key markets and clients;
- Contributing to the management of the Group Savings and Retirement fund platform in collaboration with the corporate investment team;
- Participating in fund monitoring and mid-year fund evaluations;
- Handling ad hoc requests from clients and consultants;
- Managing client transactions;
- Supporting the proposal team with investment-related inquiries;
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Actuarial Sciences or Business Administration
- Excellent communication skills
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar or related role
- Bilingualism is an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel)
- Strong knowledge of investment vehicles and group retirement products
- CFA designation is an asset
- This role requires travel approximately once or twice per quarter (across Canada)
This is a full-time, permanent role offering a bonus, benefits and pension plan. The base salary for this role ranges between $90, 000 - $105, 000 annually.
