We’re looking for a Treasurer, Brokerage. Could It Be You?
The Treasurer, Brokerage leads the centralized Treasury function for Questrade and Quest Wealth, serving as a strategic partner in expanding the firm’s product offerings. Responsible for the enterprise financial risk framework and liquidity management, this role focuses on building efficient processes through tech‑driven optimization, the financial risk framework—including liquidity, interest rate, and FX risk—while optimizing corporate funding and investment strategies.
As a key partner to product and strategy teams, the Treasurer drives growth and profitability through technology‑enhanced processes and rigorous regulatory compliance. Reporting to the CFO, Brokerage the Treasurer provides expert counsel on capital management and short‑term investments while ensuring strict adherence to internal and regulatory controls.
The Treasurer's responsibilities involve strategic oversight, leadership, and execution across the entity:
Strategic Leadership & Risk Management
Financial Risk Framework: Establish and maintain a brokerage‑wide framework for liquidity, cash management, interest rate risk (IRR), collateral management and foreign exchange (FOREX) exposure.
Capital & Funding: Support the Group CFO in developing enterprise‑wide capital management strategies, funding plans, and debt management activities.
Investment Oversight: Provide strategic direction for corporate cash and short‑term investments to maximize returns while maintaining regulatory liquidity.
Technology & Process Optimization
Digital Transformation: Optimize the use and maintenance of Treasury Management Systems (TMS) and internal controls.
AI & Automation: Identify opportunities to implement and utilize AI and advanced tech tools where appropriate to enhance treasury functions.
