Onex is an investor and asset manager that invests capital on behalf of Onex shareholders and clients across the globe. In Private Equity, we raise funds from third‑party investors and invest them, along with Onex’ own investing capital, through the funds of our private equity platforms:
Onex Partners and ONCAP. Similarly, in Credit, we raise and invest capital across several private credit, liquid credit and public equity strategies.

Our investors include a broad range of global clients, including public and private pension plans, sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, family offices and high net worth individuals. Onex has $55.9 billion in assets under management, of which $8.4 billion is Onex’ own investing capital. We generate value for our shareholders through two segments:
Investing and Asset Management.

We are looking for a Risk Analyst to join Onex as part of the Risk Management team in our Toronto Office. This is a full‑time, permanent position and will report to the Managing Director, Credit – Risk Management. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to work with risk leadership & senior investment professionals, take on increasing amounts of responsibilities, and be actively engaged in the investment decision process.

• Manage data requests from Client & Product Solutions (CPS), pulling together data from our database and other sources (Bloomberg, etc.) and format to specifications from CPS
• Monitor the daily reports generated from Bloomberg finance into Power
  
  BI and identifying any missing data, calculation errors, discrepancies, etc.
• Assist in producing weekly and monthly risk reports under supervision
• Investigate cross‑asset relationships, and map how they change throughout an economic cycle
• Fulfill tasks assigned by other members of the team that are part of larger analysis and studies we are producing

• Data analysis skills
• Basic programming skills (e.g., Python, C#, Java or C++, etc.)
• Strong Excel skills, experience in VBA or other programming languages will be helpful
• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with investment professionals and build relationships across teams
• Familiarity with Bloomberg is an asset
• Interest in financial markets and having a quant mindset
• Great attention to detail
• Strong academic standing
