The position requires experienceoperatingwithin a unionized environment and the ability to interpret and apply Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) language as it relates to payroll rates and compensation administration. Responsibilities include reviewing contract provisions governing wage scales, progression schedules, premiums, overtime, and special pay categories to ensureaccuratepayroll processing and compliance with negotiated agreement
Key Responsibilities
• Lead daily accounting operations with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
• Oversee payroll processing, ensuring compliance with
WSIB ,ESA, Wage & Hour, and internal standards.
• Provide meaningful financial analysis, variance reporting, and forecasting support to leadership.
• Maintainrobust financial controls, audit readiness, and proper record‑retention practices.
• Coach, mentor, and support accounting team members to ensurestrong performanceand teamwork.
• Collaborate with hotel leadership, vendors, auditors, banks, and regulatory agencies.
• Support operational departments by delivering clear financial insights and reporting tools.
• Serve as Manager on Duty and approve purchases asrequired.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum2+ years of hotel accounting or audit experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of hotel payroll functions, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls.
• Excellent communication, critical thinking,interpersonal and team buildingskills, andorganizational skills.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Pay Range
Pay Range: $79,000.00 - 89, 000.00/ annual base salary pay offered may vary depending on various factors including but not limited to job related knowledge, skills and job specific experience/overall experience and are eligible for a bonus plan.
Union/Non-Union: This is a non-union role.
