Vice President, Finance

Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Vice President of Finance to lead and scale a national finance and accounting function within a fast-growing, private-equity-backed organization. This is a critical executive leadership role, partnering closely with the President and executive team to drive financial strategy, operational excellence, and disciplined growth.

The Vice President, Finance will provide both strategic insight and operational leadership—ensuring robust financial governance, accurate reporting, and scalable systems—while playing a pivotal role in post-acquisition integration and value creation.

• Lead all finance and accounting functions, including FP&A, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, cash management, risk management, and compliance
• Serve as a strategic advisor to the President and executive leadership team
• Oversee annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning
• Ensure timely, accurate financial statements, forecasts, and management reporting
• Develop and deliver KPIs and financial insights to executive leadership and the Board
• Manage banking relationships, financing activities, and financial covenant compliance
• Lead post-acquisition financial integration, systems alignment, and process standardization
• Strengthen internal controls, financial systems, and documented policies and procedures
• Oversee tax compliance and external audit processes
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance team

• Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation
• 10–15 years of progressive experience
• Proven experience overseeing full finance and accounting functions in small to mid-sized organizations
• Strong financial reporting, forecasting, and cash flow management expertise
• Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills
• High ethical standards, sound judgment, and attention to detail
• Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree an asset
• Willingness to travel within Canada
