Job Title
- Project Control Officer

Toronto - Hybrid (4 Days WFO)
Role Overview

The Project Control Officer (PCO) provides financial, commercial, and governance oversight to ensure projects are delivered within approved budgets, contractual terms, and risk controls.

The role supports project and program leadership through strong financial discipline, supplier management, and documentation governance.

Key Responsibilities
Budget & Financial Control

Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost tracking
Monitor actuals vs. plan and highlight variances and financial risks
Support accruals, forecasting, and financial reporting cycles

Contract Administration

Administer project contracts, including milestones, deliverables, and commercial terms
Track contract values, amendments, and renewals
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and change controls

Invoice Management

Validate supplier invoices against contracts and deliverables
Ensure timely approvals, accurate coding, and payment processing
Resolve invoice discrepancies and support audit requirements

Supplier Risk Management

Identify and monitor supplier delivery, financial, and operational risks
Track supplier performance against agreed KPIs
Maintain supplier risk logs and support mitigation actions

Governance & Documentation

Maintain project governance artifacts and documentation repositories
Ensure compliance with organizational, regulatory, and audit standards
Support governance forums, reviews, and reporting
Maintain RAID logs and control documentation

Skills & Experience

Strong financial, commercial, and analytical skills
Experience in project controls, PMO, finance, or commercial roles
Knowledge of contracts, invoicing, and supplier management
High attention to detail and stakeholder management skills
Proficiency in MS Excel and project/financial systems

Experience

Required:

6-8 Years
