Position: Sr. Consultant (GORM) QA
* ** Quality Assurance Reviews**:
Independently review and assess the completeness, accuracy, and consistency of control testing documentation completed by 1B teams.
* ** Sample-Based Testing**:
Execute sample-based QA testing on 1B control test results to validate adherence to established methodologies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
* ** Issue Identification & Feedback**:
Identify gaps, deficiencies, or inconsistencies in control testing approaches and provide clear, constructive feedback to 1B teams to drive continuous improvement.
* ** Documentation**:
Prepare and maintain clear, concise, and well-supported QA findings and recommendations.
* ** Stakeholder Collaboration**:
Collaborate with business partners and stakeholders to clarify testing procedures, resolve issues, and ensure consistent application of control testing standards.
* ** Continuous Improvement**:
Actively contribute to the ongoing enhancement of QA processes, methodologies, and tools within GORM.
* ** Knowledge Management**:
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and internal policies related to risk and control management.
* ** Reporting & Documentation**:
Prepare comprehensive QA reports that highlight findings, root causes, and actionable recommendations for remediation.
* ** Analytical & Detail-Oriented:
** You have a keen eye for detail and strong analytical skills, able to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
* ** Collaborative:
** You work well in teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
* ** Adaptable & Organized:
** You are comfortable with change, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
* ** Leader & Influencer:
** You can coach and support colleagues, and influence stakeholders to achieve collective success.
* ** Values-Driven:
** You act with integrity and embody CIBC’s values of trust, teamwork, and accountability.
* ** Bachelor’s degree in Business**, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CIA, CRMA, CISA) is an asset.
* ** Minimum 4 years of experience
** in risk management, internal audit, or quality assurance, ideally within financial services.
* ** Strong understanding of risks** (operational, regulatory compliance, financial, etc.), control frameworks, and control testing methodologies.
* ** Excellent analytical, problem-solving**, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
* ** Experience in
** quality checking, supervising, or coaching QA or audit work.
* ** Ability to manage
** multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.
* ** Proficiency in
** MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
* ** Knowledge of CIBC’s
** Control Framework and regulatory environment is an asset.
