The Global Third Party Risk Management (GTPRM) team is responsible for proactively identifying, assessing, monitoring, and mitigating risks associated with third‑party relationships across the enterprise. Operating as a first line of defense, the team challenges and supports supplier managers within each Line of Business (LOB) to ensure effective third‑party risk governance.

As a key member of the GTPRM team, the Risk Advisor provides expert guidance on third‑party engagements, evaluates risk, and ensures alignment with enterprise frameworks, regulatory requirements, and operational risk expectations.

Core Responsibilities
Business Delivery & Operational Excellence

Review, assess, and monitor third‑party engagements throughout the Third Party Lifecycle.

Provide risk‑based advisory services to optimize third‑party performance and ensure efficient, consistent management aligned with criticality and risk level.

Maintain current knowledge of the TPRM Directive, regulatory requirements, and emerging trends.

Deliver independent oversight on third‑party governance and challenge LOBs to ensure appropriate mitigation of identified risks.

Lead or represent GTPRM on key projects to enhance third‑party risk management capabilities.

Identify and support change‑management and continuous‑improvement initiatives related to TPRM processes and infrastructure.

Maintain deep understanding of evolving risk areas—such as cybersecurity, business continuity, and privacy—and their impact on third‑party assessments.

Governance & Risk Management

Provide oversight to minimize risk exposure through ongoing monitoring, reporting, and ensuring compliance with audit and regulatory expectations.

Support business partners in preparing for internal/external audits and regulatory reviews by facilitating planning, consolidation, documentation, and interpretation of required materials.

Act as the primary GTPRM contact and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for an assigned portfolio, offering guidance on TPRM methodology, framework, policies, and regulatory requirements.

Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong, influential relationships with LOB partners to support their third‑party portfolio management.

Develop and leverage relationships with internal and external partners to enhance risk management effectiveness.

Maintain a deep understanding of LOB strategies and business changes to proactively identify third‑party risks and recommend appropriate controls.

Qualifications

Typically between 5 - 7 years of relevant experience and post‑secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Knowledge of third‑party governance and management, operational risk, financial services regulations, audit and/or compliance

Outstanding relationship management skills

Excellent interpersonal skills: communication, presentation and time management

Ability to remain composed under pressure of competing deadlines, priorities, accountabilities and constraints

Strong collaboration and team skills

Ce qui précède représente la fourchette et le type de rémunération de BMO Groupe financier.

Les salaires varieront en fonction de facteurs comme l’emplacement, les compétences, l’expérience, les études et les qualifications pour le poste et pourront inclure une structure de commissions. Les salaires pour les postes à temps partiel seront calculés au prorata du nombre d’heures travaillées régulièrement. Pour les rôles à commission, le salaire susmentionné représente la cible de BMO Groupe financier pour la première année au poste.

La rémunération totale offerte par BMO variera selon le type de rémunération associé au poste et peut comprendre des primes de rendement, des primes discrétionnaires ainsi que d’autres avantages et récompenses.
