Our client in the Greater Toronto Area (Central Mississauga) seeks a CPA Designated Controller to join their growing team full‑time, permanent in a newly created role. • Management of General Ledger and related accounting duties
• Reconciliation of bank and credit card accounts; manage customer and distributor accounts & ensure prompt payment, resolving discrepancies as needed
• Respond to vendor inquiries and complete follow‑ups
• Post journal entries & work closely with the General Ledger, making adjustments as needed
• Process payroll, HST remittances, WSIB – collect and validate payroll inputs (hours, premiums, allowances)
• Prepare consolidated monthly, quarterly, annual financial statements & financial reporting
• Submit tax remittances
• Coordinate and prepare budget & financial forecasts, institute & maintain planning and control procedures, analyze report variances
• Prepare month and year‑end closing; ensure transactions are complete, accurate, and properly documented
• Liaise with auditors; take active role in internal and external audits, providing required reporting
• Ensure compliance & implement policies and procedures; monitor accurate execution
• Provide contributions & recommendations regarding business acquisitions and other financial aspects, communicating with senior management on financial variances and strategies
• Participate in other active projects and ad hoc reporting as needed

• CPA designation, active in good standing
• 5+ years of experience in Accounting & Finance
• Experience with Quick Books Online strongly preferred
• Prior experience with ERP implementation a strong asset
• Prior experience in manufacturing industry (food & beverage) an asset
• Strong oral, written, and communication skills (English essential)
• Strong problem‑solving skills
• Highly organized, strong attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal skills, self‑starter, collaborative

Salary band: $110,000 – $130,000 per year, depending on relevant previous experience.
