Salary Range: The salary range for this position is $65,000 to $75,000 annually

Reporting to the Senior Financial Analyst, the Financial Analyst will focus on the preparation of timely and accurate reporting including financial decks, financial statements, variance analysis and commentary, along with Government Reporting. This role will also serve as a finance partner to the assigned regional directors, with increasing responsibilities in that scope. Month end support such as journal entries, variance analysis, and balance sheet reconciliation activities will be part of this role as well.
This role is Hybrid based out at Sheppard office. This role offers exposure to operational leadership and provides opportunities toward senior analyst responsibilities.
- Ensure timely preparation of financial deck and operational financial statements, including a high-level review of revenue, labour, and overhead performance.
- Perform detailed variance analysis and develop clear commentary to communicate financial results to Operations leadership
- Act as a finance business partner to assigned regions, supporting leaders with financial insights, ad-hoc analysis, and performance tracking.
- Support annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes, including tracking actuals against targets and identifying risks and opportunities.
- Support government funding reporting and audit requirements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and on-time submission. Maintain and update a comprehensive reporting calendar to ensure all deliverables are met.
- Prepare and post journal entries, support month-end close, and complete balance sheet reconciliations.
- Continuously improve reporting tools, templates, and processes to enhance efficiency, standardization, and automation.
- Support special projects and cross-functional initiatives as assigned.
- Demonstrate accountability in delivering reliable financial insights that support data-driven decision-making across the organization.
- Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor Business Administration/Management, or equivalent
- Currently enrolled in the CPA (CA, CMA, CGA) program is an asset.
- 2 to 4 years of financial report analysis, budgeting/forecasting, variance analysis, account analysis and reconciliation
- Liaising with cross functional departments such as operations, A/P, or A/R
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Experience working with financial systems and large datasets.
- Exposure to Net Suite, Oracle (Hyperion/Smart View) is an asset.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Collaborative mindset with the confidence to engage business partners.
- Positive, proactive, and solution-oriented approach to challenges.
