As a Senior Associate on Wealthsimple’s Treasury Cash Management team, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring optimal cash flow management and operational efficiency. You'll manage daily payment processing operations, monitor balances across accounts, and develop immediate and short‑term cash flow forecasts that drive liquidity and revenue optimization decisions.

In this role you'll have the opportunity to:
  • Process and validate daily payment transactions across multiple channels.
  • Manage journal entries with precision and timeliness.
  • Monitor and maintain target balance thresholds across banking relationships.
  • Develop and maintain short term cash flow forecasts.
  • Optimize liquidity positions to maximize financial returns.
  • Communicate cash position updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement solutions.
  • Analyze patterns in cash movements and highlight anomalies.
  • Support treasury operations during high‑volume periods.
Skills you'll bring:
  • Extreme attention to detail with strong data verification instincts.
  • Understanding of brokerage operations and settlement processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast‑paced, dynamic environments.
  • Adaptability to quickly pivot between tasks and processes as priorities shift.

  • Working knowledge of AI tools for data analysis and process optimization.
  • Proficiency in identifying data anomalies and outliers in large datasets.
  • Strong analytical capabilities to understand numerical relationships.
  • Independent problem‑solving skills with solution‑oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience with treasury management systems and banking platforms.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
Preferred qualifications:
  • 2‑3 years minimum in cash management or payment processing experience.
  • Experience in fintech or digital banking environments.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements for financial transactions.
  • Familiarity with SQL or other data query languages.
  • Experience with process automation tools.
  • Understanding of settlement risk and liquidity management principles.
Compensation & Equity

🤑 Base salary range:
For this role, candidates located in Canada can expect a base salary range of CAD $69,600 - $87,000. Actual compensation is determined based on skills, experience, and role level. Exceptional candidates may be considered above the top of the range, and pay can increase quickly for those who make a big impact in the role.

🚀 Total compensation:
In addition to base salary, this role includes equity compensation. We use clear job levels and market‑based salary bands to ensure compensation is fair and consistent across the company.
