Purpose of the Role:

Reporting to the Senior Director & Head of Infrastructure Investments, the Principal, Infrastructure Investments will play a key role in sourcing new infrastructure opportunities and growing our market presence as a leading infrastructure investor. The Principal, Infrastructure Investments will assist in underwriting new investment opportunities, mentoring junior team members, monitoring the portfolio and maintaining strong relationships with key partners.

This is a hybrid role based in our Toronto office.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Source and evaluate global infrastructure investment opportunities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key market participants, existing and prospective GP partners, and other infrastructure investors, while enhancing the firm’s market presence.
  • Lead and oversee due diligence on new investments, including industry and risk analysis, financial model review, documentation and contract review, and coordination with external advisors.
  • Prepare and present investment recommendations to the Investment Committee.
  • Review junior team members’ work and provide ongoing coaching and mentorship.
  • Support portfolio management activities, including investment monitoring, performance and attribution analysis, fund-level cash flow projections, risk exposure analysis, and preparation of reporting and marketing materials in collaboration with internal teams.
Required Skills &

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 8 years of overall relevant experience with at least four years experience in funds, co-investment, or direct investments in private markets, preferably infrastructure, at a financial institution, private equity fund or pension fund.
  • Proven ability to originate infrastructure opportunities and manage and maintain relationships with market participants globally.
  • Proven infrastructure due diligence and underwriting skills.
  • Past experience managing junior team members is considered an asset.
  • Ability to function in a team environment.
  • CFA, CA, CPA, MBA, or CBV considered an asset.
  • Willing to travel internationally.
Compensation & Benefits Package:

This position comes with a competitive total compensation package including a base salary in the range of $180,000 - $230,000
. Base salary will be commensurate with experience, skills, and qualifications. In addition, the successful candidate will participate in our performance-based Short Term Incentive (STI) and Long Term Incentive (LTI) programs. LTI is awarded in the form of equity, providing a direct ownership opportunity in the firm. This total compensation program aligns pay with performance through competitive incentives with meaningful long-term value creation.
