Job Summary:
The Risk Analyst will support the Market Risk & Counterparty Analytics team within Capital Markets Risk Management. This role focuses on large exposure reporting, counterparty credit risk, and regulatory compliance aligned with OSFI B2 and SCCL frameworks. The analyst will play a critical role in ensuring risk governance, data accuracy, and process control within one of Canada’s top 10 financial institutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Generate accurate and complete daily, monthly, and quarterly OSFI B2/SCCL reports, including management and counterparty limit monitoring reports.
Lead and maintain subject matter expertise in risk mapping and governance processes.
Review and research data mappings (business, client, product, and legal entity) that drive regulatory reporting.
Support implementation of new or revised policies, products, and processes.
Conduct ad-hoc analyses of metrics, exposures, and transactions for management and stakeholders.
Monitor and document internal control processes and ensure audit readiness.
Manage operational risk through documentation, cross-training, and quality assurance.
Liaise with front office traders, Credit Risk Management, Global Counterparty Credit, audit, and technology teams.
Champion efficiency projects and process improvements within the reporting function.
Required Experience:
5–7 years of experience in risk analysis or related financial risk roles.
Post-secondary degree in finance, economics, or a related field.
Experience with financial products such as securities financing transactions (repo, reverse repo, securities lending).
Working knowledge of SACCR methodology and comprehensive risk approaches.
Proven experience in managing operational and governance risks within a financial institution.
Nice-to-Have Experience:
FRM or CFA certification.
Master’s degree in finance, economics, or quantitative discipline.
Familiarity with Python and SQL.
Prior experience in regulatory reporting or capital markets analytics.
