Job Overview
We are looking for a Billing & Code Management Specialist to join our growing team, who is self-directed with strong leadership skills, and a customer service focus to ensure accurate billing related activities are completed for projects. The role is responsible for processing all billing & code management activities for special projects and supporting Customer & Consumers along with Consumer Operations, Breach Support, project managers, sales representatives, billing services, and finance.
Responsibilities- Work directly with customers, project managers, sales representatives, finance & accounting staff to create accurate and timely billing instructions for all offline billings.
- Interact directly with customers to issue codes and respond to related inquiries.
- Manage all code tracking and issue resolution based on customer requests.
- Maintain a detailed and up-to-date reconciliation of codes.
- Complete billings for codes in a timely and accurate manner to meet the respective monthly timelines, including subscription setup, submission of BAU billing advice, and other related tasks.
- Ensure partnership calculations are accurate and maintain 100% error‑free rate.
- Provide generic and customized billing reports to customers, project managers and sales representatives using Microsoft Office, Google Suite and other internal systems.
- Complete monthly accruals and reconciliations for internal forecasting (GL).
- Calculate and process credit adjustments due to new price agreements with retroactive effective dates.
- Communicate and resolve concerns to sales and customers regarding pricing, discrepancies, invoicing issues.
- Handle regular and urgent requests for new and existing billings.
- Conduct investigations to support business and customers with findings.
- Perform process mapping, documentation and process improvement for billing & code management.
- Post‑secondary education (Diploma or equivalent).
- 2‑3 years of working experience in a billing environment and/or code management.
- Proficient working with numbers, strong analytical, listening and problem‑solving skills.
- Apply critical thinking to understand business needs and develop solutions.
- Capable of working collaboratively with team members, self‑motivated, self‑directed and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal abilities.
- Intermediate Google Suite and advanced MS Office skills (Excel).
- Experience with JIRA/Confluence.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
- Previous financial services experience.
- Proven track record working with numbers and billing.
