Job Description

CUSTOMER- Support the business and overall team by providing general analytical support to the Actuarial function.
- Assist in the preparation of statistical analyses or financial statements, involving premiums, losses and expenses, documenting and verifying applied factors, methodologies and assumptions.
- Assist in developing management, financial and actuarial data, models or tools.
- Produce documents for regulatory submissions.
- Consistently exercise discretion in managing correspondence, information and all matters of confidentiality; elevate issues where appropriate.
- Be knowledgeable of practices and procedures within own area of responsibility and keep abreast of emerging trends for own functional area.
- Protect the interests of the organization – identify and manage risks, and elevate non‑standard, high risk activities as necessary.
- Identify, recommend and effectively execute standard practices applicable to the discipline.
- Adhere to internal policies/procedures and applicable regulatory guidelines.
- Keep abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impacts.
- Contribute to the rating team’s innovation culture that will allow the company to increase its competitiveness.
- Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite.
- Participate fully as a member of the team, support a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, quality, innovation and teamwork and ensure timely communication of issues/points of interest.
- Support the team by continuously enhancing knowledge/expertise in own area and participate in knowledge transfer within the team and business unit.

- Entry level role with a focus on providing functional specialized business services, advisory or process / program support for own area of specialty, within defined parameters.
- Requires sound conceptual knowledge in their own field of specialty.
- Typically no supervisory accountability but may provide informal guidance to others.
- Works under close management supervision and guidance.
- May lead small projects and/or support work streams of a bigger project.
- Generally reports to a Manager / Senior Manager role.
- University degree.
- 1+ years of related experience.
