Finance Manager, Corporate Finance

We are seeking a Finance Manager to join our team, reporting to the Associate VP of Finance. This role involves preparing management reports, supporting audits, and driving process improvements. The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting skills, Canadian tax knowledge, advanced Excel proficiency, and thrives in a collaborative environment.

This is a full‑time position based in our Toronto office, with an expected annual compensation range of $110,000 - $130,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

• Manage full cycle of accounting: revenue, expenses, payroll, treasury and financial reporting.
• Ensure timely and accurate month end closing, including performing bank reconciliations, posting month‑end general journals, and reconciling balance sheet schedules.
• Prepare monthly management reporting packages, including but not limited to financial results reporting, trend and variance analysis, financial modeling and projections etc.
• Perform routine tax tasks such as income tax provision calculation (deferred and current) and monthly sales tax returns preparation.
• Prepare financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (“IFRS”) and assist with quarter end and year end auditors’ review and audit of financial statements.
• Review and reconcile employee expense reports.
• Support continuous improvement and automation/productivity initiatives within the overall finance function.
• Prepare and maintain documentation of policies and procedures, and be able to collaborate with Compliance and Sales Teams to meet internal and regulatory requirements.

• 3‑5 years of experience in accounting and financial reporting with strong technical skills and IFRS knowledge, CPA designation is required.
• Working knowledge with Canadian taxes: income taxes, sales taxes and payroll taxes etc.
• Experience with in the asset management industry is an asset.
• Well versed with Microsoft Excel, coding with macros/VBA is an asset.
• Analytical and logical thinking.
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Efficient, organized, and able to multi‑task and prioritize.
• Strong work ethic and sense of responsibility and confidentiality.
• Great attention to detail.
• Eager to learn and self‑motivated.
• Ability to work both independently, and as part of a team.
