Corporate and Restructuring Practice in Toronto. They require someone with financial modelling and strong restructuring skills
Major Responsibilities:
Manage the corporate insolvency and restructuring practiceBIA proceedings, including proposals to creditors and commercial bankruptciesActing for stakeholder in Companies Creditor’s Arrangement Act (CCAA) proceedings,including as Court appointed MonitorCourt and private appointment receiverships and viability assessmentsProviding restructuring financial as well as operational assistance to troubled enterprises and their stakeholdersDebt restricting/refinancing and liquidity managementAsset management and dispositionTurnaround Management, Chief Restructuring Officer retainer Excellent technical insolvency, restructuring, and refinancing skills.Exceptional oral and written presentation abilities, including articulating proposals and final reports using MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint.Requirements
Qualifications:
5 years minimum of experience in an insolvency practice requiredEnrolled in the Licensed Insolvency Trustee’s program or a willingness to enroll in the programBachelor’s degree, (or equivalent experience) in Finance or AccountingSelf-starter and a multi-tasker with demonstrated focus on setting prioritiesAbility eo empathize with the client’s situation while offering professional advice and focusing on client satisfactionEffective interpersonal skills to motivate and mento staff as well as facilitate positive outcomes for business professional effortsStrong financial analytical and financial modelling skillsDetail-oriented, logical; ability to navigate through issues and provide effective solutionsPrevious work experience in corporate insolvency and working on restructuring giles is an assetOther professional designation(s) would be an asset.Accounting /Finance experience required (CA//CPA strongly preferred)Strong project management skills with ability to multi task across projectsExceptional client management and relationship development experienceBroad financial and commercial experience, having demonstrated achievement either within a professional services organization or corporate environmentA self-starter, who can work well independently as well as part of a teamLogical, methodical and commercial approach, combined with strong business diagnostics skillsStrong report writing and reviewing skillsExcellent communicator, both oral and writtenAdditional Comments
