About the Opportunity Ministry & Program Reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for ministry and program leaders.
- Analyze budget-to-actual results, identify variances, and provide insights to support operational decision‑making.
- Partner with ministry teams to develop and monitor program budgets.
- Support leadership with financial dashboards, forecasting, and scenario planning.
- Lead financial reporting for all restricted grants, ensuring compliance with donor, government, and foundation requirements.
- Track grant expenditures, revenue recognition, and fund balances.
- Prepare financial schedules for grant proposals, renewals, and audits.
- Maintain documentation to support grant audits and monitoring visits.
- Collaborate with program managers to ensure spending aligns with grant agreements and timelines.
- Manage reporting for restricted and designated funds, ensuring accurate allocation and tracking.
- Prepare donor‑specific financial reports and statements of fund activity.
- Support the development team with financial information for donor stewardship and fundraising initiatives.
- Ensure proper classification of contributions, pledges, and fund releases.
- Conduct financial analysis to support strategic planning, cost efficiency, and resource allocation.
- Recommend improvements to reporting processes, internal controls, and financial systems.
- Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting cycles.
- Support year‑end audit preparation, including schedules related to grants and restricted funds.
- Work closely with program, development, and operations teams to ensure financial clarity and alignment.
- Provide training and guidance to non‑financial staff on budgeting, reporting, and compliance.
- Serve as a finance liaison for ministry leaders and grant managers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3–5+ years of experience in nonprofit finance, grant accounting, or financial analysis.
- Experience with fund accounting and restricted fund management strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with government and foundation grant compliance requirements.
- Strong understanding of nonprofit accounting principles (GAAP for NPOs).
- Excellent analytical, budgeting, and financial modeling skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non‑financial staff.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage Intacct, Quick Books Nonprofit, Blackbaud) and Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work collaboratively across teams.

$37.00 / Hour
