Fund Accountant

We are a private equity investment management firm seeking a Fund Accountant to join the Finance team.

CA $80,000/yr – CA $90,000/yr

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Fund Accountant will be responsible for financial reporting, fund accounting, and portfolio analysis across multiple entities. Key duties include preparing quarterly reports, supporting audits, and ensuring data accuracy across the firm’s investment portfolio.

• Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements, investor reports, and supporting schedules.
• Perform fund accounting and reconciliation activities, including capital calls and distributions.
• Support portfolio valuation, investor reporting, and audit coordination processes.
• Assist with regulatory, compliance, and tax reporting requirements.
• Contribute to internal process improvement and system optimization initiatives.
• Collaborate with finance and investment teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in accounting or fund administration; experience in investment management, asset management, or private equity is an asset.
• CPA designation (or in progress) preferred but not required.
• Strong technical accounting and analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, team-first attitude.
