Financial Planner

Role OverviewThe Financial Planner will be part of an integrated process dedicated to serving clients with a higher level of service. The position is ideal for a long‑term career where you can utilise planning skills to benefit an expanding client base.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare simple and comprehensive financial plans and projections.
- Provide tax recommendations, including CPP/OAS payments, RIF conversions, tax rates and corporate details.
- Liaise with tax, insurance and trust departments; note estate‑related recommendations.
- Present and update financial plans and progress reports to clients.
- Assist with cash‑flow projections and tax analysis.
- Support insurance, financial and estate planning; grow expertise if needed.
- Prepare tax package documentation.
- Knowledge of financial planning concepts.
- Experience with Naviplan and Snap software (asset).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and willing to learn new applications.
- Strong client‑service, time‑management and decision‑making skills.
- Excellent organisation, multi‑tasking and prioritisation.
- Problem‑solving with sound judgement.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a high‑volume environment while maintaining detail focus.
- Advanced face‑to‑face, email, videoconferencing and telephone etiquette and relationship management.
- Independent and collaborative team player; flexible and supportive.
- Discretion in handling confidential information.
- Proficiency in French is an asset.
- Practical experience in high‑level planning (corporate, trust, cross‑border).
- Accounting designation or relevant education is an asset.
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation or near completion is required.
